About the Event

Calling citizens scientists young and old, any experience level, for a  relaxed, outdoor picnic tea and Moth Night in the beautiful Brownhill  Creek/Wirraparinga valley to participate in the 2022 City Nature Challenge for the Greater Adelaide region.

Your hosts? The scientists from Ferox australis and Rossi from the Bee Hub.

There'll be:

  • information about moths and other pollinators
  • training to use the iNaturalist citizen science app and participate in the City Nature Challenge
  • honey tasting and homemade pizza
  • host-plant bundles to buy
  • insect displays to look at
  • friendly and knowledgeable people to chat with

As it gets darker, we'll go for a short guided walk through the  surrounding area, put the screens up and the lights on, and you'll have a  chance to observe moths and other wildlife using the iNaturalist app.

A tasty picnic tea will be served individually. Be sure to let us  know about any special dietary requirements. Ideal for young children!
